The Chanel Resort 2020 Cruise Collection was the debut of Virginie Viard – and the first Chanel collection without Lagerfeld. I must say, the “right hand” of the legendary designer worthily continued his work: in the best traditions of the fashion house, the show was bright, large-scale and thematic – this time the Grand Palais turned into a train station, and models into wonderful travelers

The theme of travel pervaded the entire collection: it had many convenient and practical models from denim and knitwear. But at the same time, Virginie did not forget about the codes of the fashion house – they were reminded of tweed jackets, brooches in the form of a logo of two letters C, and “branded” quilted handbags. Virginie Viard Pays tribute to the great Karl – black and white halter dresses with high Edwardian collars, which completed the show, were just in the spirit of Lagerfeld.
